Description

The general objective of the project is to help boost the productivity of the economy of the province of Mendoza by improving road and tourism infrastructure. The specific objectives are: (i) to help improve the quality of traffic flow and road safety by increasing capacity, rehabilitating, and upgrading the Provincial Route 82 corridor, which will result in reduced operating costs, shorter average travel times, and lower road accident rates; and(ii) to help improve the tourism competitiveness of the Cacheuta district through interventions in urban infrastructure and capacity-building in land use and tourism management in this district.
