Description

The Asian Development Bank is working with Bangladesh and India to increase the ability of the two countries to trade electricity. The project is allowing Bangladesh to better meet sharply rising power demand while assisting India in exporting excess electricity. This includes upgrading the power transmission capacity of the existing grid interconnection between the two countries from 500 megawatts to 1,000 megawatts.
