Charting the path of every single complaint
February 2024
In this month's newsletter, Senior Research Associate Megumi Tsutsui walks us through a flowchart that follows the path of every complaint submitted to an independent accountability mechanism (IAM) that made it to the end of the process. For most, that ending is premature. But, for complaints that get to a compliance investigation or dispute resolution phase, chances are high that some acknowledgment of harm to the community or wrongdoing by the Bank or its client will be found.
You may have also received a previous newsletter edition last Tuesday; our auto-scheduler was a bit overzealous and we apologize for the mistake.
