IFC has four active investments in Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) consisting of two equity investments (up to $49 million and $100 million, respectively), one loan ($30 million), and one bond (up to $75 million). According to IFC, RCBC is one of the largest universal banks in the Philippines, providing a wide range of banking and other financial products and services, including commercial and retail banking, credit cards, asset management, and treasury and investment banking products and services. IFCs investments aim at supporting RCBCs growth in the areas of microfinance, small and medium-sized enterprises, and retail banking, as part of IFCs strategy to support the Philippine financial markets through investments in local financial institutions that play a key role in providing access to finance to underserved sectors.
