(2020 Activity Report, pg 7: https://www.afd.fr/en/ressources/environmental-and-social-complaints-mechanism-2020-activity-report) "The complaint was filed by a collective describing itself as the collective of “Recent marriages”, complainants being mostly households originating from one of the slums targeted by the development project. The slum was due to be cleared to enable the construction of the new town while the households listed as living there at the end of March 2012 were to be rehoused in new residential lots. The complainants, whose marriages date from April 2012, were all considered ineligible for the new lots. They requested that their new family situation be taken into account given that the resettlement was carried out almost 10 years after the eligibility cut-off date of the end of March 2012."
