Description

The Request describes potential harm to the living conditions, health, and property value of the residents of San Andrés and surrounding neighborhoods, in the Tucumán Province, Argentina. The damages are consequence of the construction of an open sewage treatment plant in a residential area that continues to grow and attract more residents. In addition, the Request mentions potential harm to agricultural activities in the area due to the disposal of sewage waste in the nearby Sali-Dulce river, which runs through three neighboring provinces. The Request also informs about the lack of consultation, availability of information and documentation regarding environmental impacts. To this day, they alleged, many residents still remain unaware of the realization of the Project.
