Description

In April 2022, EIB-CM received a complaint from an individual who alleged having lost his right to compensation as part of the resettlement implemented for the Zenata Urban Development Project co-financed by the EIB. During the initial assessment of the complaint, it appeared that the issue of the loss of entitlement for his family had been solved by the promoter, which was later also communicated to the complainant. The complainant informed EIB-CM that he would consider his complaint resolved after receiving a formal written invitation to take part in the lottery drawing for his compensation. Once this had occurred and after verifying with the complainant, EIB-CM closed the complaint under articles 4.1 and 4.2 of its simplified procedure.
