Until July 1, 2021, issues under arbitral or judicial review in an IDB member country were excluded from MICI's scope. The IDB Board repealed this provision (19.d) in 2021 in response to the IDB Office of Evaluation and Oversight's (OVE) review of MICI's effectiveness.
